We came here for dinner because it was near our hotel on our way up to Milwaukee. It was such a delight. The oldest and best Route 66 diner we've ever been to. The fried chicken, like many have noted, was the best I've had. The black bean soup with sausage was fantastic with a Cuban flair. There were white cloth table cloths and napkins, nice glassware and good wine. Such a nice surprise after 7 hours of driving. The waitress was so friendly and made us feel right at home. Thanks for such a great experience!

Delicious food and great service. I was going for a local gem and found it. The fried chicken was amazing and despite the intimidating name & presentation, hubby loved his Deep Fried Bacon Horseshoe. No time for dessert, even though several looked yummy. (Felt bad, too, because the awesome staff bring out all the desserts for you to look at, which they could skip since the cooler display is the first thing that draws your eye when you walk in).
